The BahNu needed people to mine Neosa's resources, but they also wanted to exploit Neosa's natural world. Neosa's flora and fauna was dwindling, and the BahNu did not want to miss out on the possible medical discoveries this world had to offer. New forms of poisons, diseases and cures had been extracted from Neosa's biodiversity and Jarra had been instrumental in some of these discoveries. She knew that many of these would be put to nefarious ends but some did benefit her own people. Her team had concocted a cure for a skin disease that affected many Neosians working in deep mines. It had been extracted from an extremely rare fungus so the BahNu had made sure to place it on the endangered list. It was not because they cared for the Neosian people, but because healthy workers did a better job. Jarra preferred to take comfort in the good she was doing and not dwell on the negative. After all, science was neither good nor bad. It was the people who determined what to do with the discovery. As had she. A select few knew of Jarra's treacherous activities. Treacherous towards the BahNu, that is. Even though she wasn't treated badly by her captors, Jarra had begun to plot against them. Much of her time in the lab was spent trying to find ways to fight the BahNu. Her discoveries were always two-fold; finding a cure for an ailment that she was told to work on but also how to convert that ailment so that it could be used against the BahNu. These, she would give to the Neosian underground to do with as they pleased. Jarra had caused the death of hundreds of BahNu without leaving her lab. When the Guardian made his appearance, he destroyed the BahNu installations that had been harming the planet. He then picked a select few who were charged to protect Neosa itself. Jarra was selected to become one of them. She was transformed and transported at the side of she who would lead them, Rubikhon. Powers Energy manipulation: Flare is able to manipulate light and electromagnetism. She can use their effects in various way like using her light-based powers to accelerate plant growth or using electromagnetism to produce partially or fully ionized forms of plasma. Biological acceleration: Flare can stimulate the growth of flora and has done so to help terraform Neosa's artificial moons. Energy blast: Flare can generate lightning or plasma blasts. Space travel: She can survive and travel the rigorous expanses of interplanetary space. Super strength: She has enhanced strength enabling him to lift weights in the 100 ton range. Self sustaining: Does not need to eat or drink, however, Flare has a taste for carbon and often indulges in eating charred food. Omnilinguilism: Like all guardians, she can communicate with any intelligent species. Enhanced vision: Like all guardians, she can see in various modes and can stare directly at the sun. Extended lifespan: Flare is one of the youngest of her team and is currently over 600 years old. |
