Evil's Bane was brought together by Spell Weaver when the entity called the Nexus Worm created doors to nether realms all over the planet. Since Spell Weaver could not monitor each door alone, she enlisted the aid of various heroes-of-light to help her in her fight.

After the Nexus Worm was contained, each member returned to its normal life, but agreed to reunite in the event of another attack.
