She is also a mafia princess, the daughter of the former Bloomfield mafia boss. Her father was eventually overthrown by his consigliere, Carlo Graziani. Carlo also killed Ronnie's best friend, Angela, and her entire family. After a dark-energy meteor explosion irradiated the city, Ronnie discovered she had acquired heightened abilities that gave her innate fighting skills, enhanced stamina, and augmented strength. The level of these abilities were somehow linked to her level of confidence, so as long as her confidence was high, she was virtually unstoppable. Swearing revenge on Carlo, she entered the world of crime fighting and became Vendetta, the Italian spirit of vengeance. While continuing to pursue Carlo and his minions, she joined the new Pittsburgh Heroine League and became best friends with fellow members Devana and Red Gina. She wears a mask, to keep her civilian identity a secret. Vendetta also has an altered identity which is triggered upon exposure to the rare mineral Drainium. The effect of the exposure transforms her in Violenta. Powers Enhanced vitals: Vendetta's body was enhanced by the dark energy , making her very difficult to defeat in combat as long as her confidence level is high. She can simply move faster than everyone around her, and also has the added stamina to win protracted bouts of combat. She also has about triple the strength of a normal woman her size. Martial arts: Her incredible facility with the escrima sticks allows her to block bullets with them, as well as severely injure or kill opponents. Super strength: As her altered identity Violenta, her strength increases to about ten times that of an average man. Transform: She can become a ruthlessly violent and incredibly strong killer called Violenta, for a few minutes. Once Violenta's killing frenzy is exhausted, she reverts back to Vendetta. Weaknesses: She can be injured in many ways (hit, shot, burned, choked, etc.) like any normal woman her size, if she does not move fast enough to avoid attacks. Her skill and power levels are influenced by her level of confidence. If she begins to doubt in her victory, her skills will be affected. She can be defeated through mental assaults which instill doubt or fear in her. She can only take on the identity of Violenta for a short time. Paraphernalia: As Vendetta, she uses escrima sticks. As Violenta, she uses sai swords to kill. |
