She had collected tomes of forgotten healing practices, and had used many of them to heal members of her family throughout the years. This had given Pat the drive to become a healer as well, unfortunately, her grandmother's way was regarded as backwater practice and Pat could not use them to treat people in the modern world, so she attended University and learned modern medecine. When war broke out, she joined the medical staff and went overseas. There, she was confronted with a totally new reality. The horrors of war were nothing like those she had been used to treating. Modern medecine could not keep up with the severity of the injuries she saw day after day, and Pat was heart broken that she couldn't do more to save the lives of these brave soldiers. That was when she decided that she would add to the medical teachings of the university the practice of the medical marvels her grandmother had taught her. She called home and had her grandmother's books sent to her. The books contained ancient secrets that had been passed down from generation to generation. They also had references to places where rare herbs and items could be found, worldwide and also in the UK. Pat reached out to her contacts and had them search and send her many of these items. When her military hospital was targetted by enemy forces, the élite fighting group known as Liberty Alliance showed up to help them out. Pat treated the victims with her medicinal herbs and potions and witnessed that these worked better on freshly made wound, bringing her to conclude that if she really wanted to help, she would need to treat injuries as they happened, and that meant out in the field. She asked to join the Alliance and became known as War Nurse! Powers Power accessory: Although War Nurse has no special powers, she draws her knowledge of healing from her grandmother's special books. The books contain forgotten healing practices, as well as the locations to find the items necessary for making her salves and potions. Weaknesses: other then some protective mesh in her outfit she relies on her healing salves and potions. Paraphernalia: she has a bag that carries all of he potions, salves ointments and other remedies. |
